At the exhibition we created in 2016, we presented the history and development of our museum, from its founding, when it was located at various locations in the city of Zagreb under the name Gipsoteka, to its relocation to the factory buildings of the former Leather Factory. At the exhibition, you can learn about the history of the factory, which was converted into a museum after it was shut down, and is one of the early European examples of such conversion. When the museum became part of the current Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the museum changed its name to Glyptotheque. Through numerous archival photographs, newspaper articles and short descriptions, learn about our history in an interesting way!
